Le Coq Sportif

The story of Le Coq Sportif is the story of a different kind of brand, a story unlike any other. It starts in 1882 with the opening of a little hosiery store in Romilly-sur-Seine, in a part of the Champagne region called the Aube.

Emile Camuset, the man who opened that store, loved sports with a fierce passion. When he started making sports jersey in his small workshop, he probably never dreamed that, 130 years later, le coq sportif would become one of the world's most prestigious brands, renowned for its clothing, footwear and sporting equipment.

Le Coq Sportif is a classic brand for football’s fans. It is the brand of the squadra azzurra winning Spain’s 1982 World Cup. It is also the brand of Maradona’s Argentina in México 1986; God’s hands.
