Retro shirt of the 60s, when Denmark debut in European Championship.

Until the beginning of the 70s football was considered as an amateur past-time in the Scandinavian country.As a consequence, most of the best Danish players had to move from Denmark to make a living, so the national football team made little impression.

By the way Denmark did a notable performance at the 1964 European Nations' Cup, where they impressively finished in 4th place.

The Danish side qualify for the semi-final defeating  Malta, Albania and Luxembourg.In the semi-final, there was nothing to do for Denmark against Soviet Union who scored 3 goals and will lose the final against Spain. In the bronze match Hungary won 3-1 in the extra time and Denmark obtained the 4th place.
