An year before the 1970 World Cup Peru played a friendly match against Brazil. The Peruvians were winning 2-1 when the Brazilian Gerson committed a tough foul on Orlando de la Torre, known as El Chito. A 40 minute fight begins, then Seleçao won 3-2. The following year, the coach of Peru national football team  is the Brazilian Waldyr Pereira, better known as Didì, who has won 2 world cups as a player. Peru, thanks to the goals of Teofilo Cubillas and Chumpitaz's defensive interventions, will play the quarterfinals against Brazil. The night before the match, Didì receives a call from his family. They have been threatened: if Brazil does not win, they will pay the consequences. Didì, in this match, leaves El Chito on the bench, an excellent defender who wanted to take revenge on Gerson. Brazil won 4-2 in one of the most beautiful matches in the history of the World Cup, perhaps in the history of football. Even so, in Lima the players were received as if they had won. But according to the Peruvians, that match could have really won it.
